The story of Viawww.nl
Viawww has been around since 2013. After a financial crisis raged through the Netherlands in 2009 and 2013, my father – founder of Viawww.nl – was fired from ING. Ironically, our house burned down completely a week later. As a family, we decided to rebuild the house ourselves.
During the renovation of the kitchen, pipes had to be moved. A crimping tool was needed for this. To his surprise, my father discovered that this tool cost thousands of euros, while you often only need it for one day. After purchasing the crimping tool, Viawww started renting out this tool on a small scale via Marktplaats.
Between 2013 and 2016, a webshop for installation materials was gradually created - with everything for the installer. With the aim of becoming the small installation store around the corner, where all materials must be delivered today. We like to think along and get our satisfaction from helping consumers and small installers. In 2022, the founder and my father passed away. Since 2022, we have been working on a new path to a more modern and new positioning strategy for Viawww.nl.
What does the name Viawww mean?
The idea behind the name Viawww originated from a simple but catchy slogan: “Where do you order that? Via www.nl!” A nod to the internet – or the world wide web – where you can find everything, including our products.
To this day, we still regularly get the question what the name actually stands for. The answer is simple: Viawww refers to the online channel with which you can easily order from us.
We admit: the name may sound a bit quirky and does not immediately bring to mind installation material. But this was the original idea, and we proudly stick to it!
Our positioning
Looking for good building materials? We focus on the professional and also offer do-it-yourselfers the articles that the professional works with. In addition to supplying the materials, you can always contact us with the question whether we want to help you think along with your installation, from outdoor tap to ground line, no question is too much for us. Viawww has existed for more than 10 years and in that time we have built ourselves up to a knowledge expert in the field of sanitary questions, of course we do not know everything but we do everything we can to help you with your question as best as possible. This results in the fact that Viawww scores a 9.5 on Webwinkelkeur.nl out of more than 1700 reviews!
These items are usually not found in the well-known DIY stores, if they are available in regular DIY stores you will see that they are incredibly expensive. We are specialized in renting installation material in water, gas and heating, in addition we of course rent the tools needed to send such pipes.
Free delivery is from 250 euro order value (see frequently asked questions for exceptions.) All prices include VAT. Usually no surcharge for long goods. Where a surcharge is charged, this is stated with the article. Below 250 euro order value we charge 7.99 for shipping with PostNL in the Netherlands.
We work with razor-sharp prices and fast delivery. Our goal is to deliver your order as soon as possible, without backorders.
The articles are almost all available from stock and you will normally receive them the next working day (Monday to Friday) after ordering (provided that the order was placed on a working day before 5 p.m.). If an article has a delivery time, we will communicate this to you and agree whether we will deliver it or credit your money.
After your order, we will check the stock and let you know if an item is immediately available. You will also confirm the date that you will receive the items. If an item is not immediately available, we will contact you to discuss how we can best help you.
In many cases it is possible to order the more common items during the day (on weekdays) and collect them from us the next morning after a few hours. It is useful to contact us by telephone for this.
We keep the webshop as clear as possible. Call us if you need help filling your shopping cart. If you want, we can take the order by phone, order and you can easily pay upon collection.
