What else do you need?

PVC Pipes – Make sure the pipes are the same diameter as your fittings for a seamless connection.
PVC Glue and Cleaner – Use a PVC cleaner to degrease the pipes and fittings and ensure a strong bond with the PVC glue.
Saw or pipe cutter – A sharp saw or special PVC pipe cutter will ensure a straight cut and a good fit.
Deburrer or sandpaper – Remove burrs and rough edges after cutting to prevent clogs and leaks.
Measuring Tape & Marker – Measure and mark your cutting lines accurately to prevent errors during assembly.
Teflon tape or rubber rings – For threaded connections, this prevents leakage and ensures a flexible connection.

Tips for a successful installation

  • Dry fit: Before using glue, test the fittings to make sure they fit snugly on the pipes.
  • Don't use too much glue: A thin, even layer is sufficient. Too much glue can weaken the bond.
  • Work quickly but carefully: PVC glue dries quickly, so be sure to press the pipes directly and firmly into the fitting, twisting them slightly to distribute the glue evenly.
  • Allow time for the compound to dry: Wait at least 10-15 minutes before moving the pipe and allow for the full curing time (usually 24 hours).
  • Take expansion into account: PVC expands with temperature differences. Use expansion pieces if your pipes are outdoors or span large lengths.
  • Avoid sharp bends: Use multiple 45° bends rather than a single 90° bend to keep the water flow smooth and prevent clogs.
